During the month of April - Kat decided I needed to review  all my lessons.She spent all her extra time out playing n the dirt. She says it is a garden and put a fence  around it to keep me out.  I have a new collar that vibrates  to tell me to stop and turn arouond.

 I have a new play ground! It has things for me to jump over and poles to run around. Kat encourages me to run as fast as I wish. Today, May 22 she added a board for me to walk on. She calls it a dog walk. We play out there almost every day.

 It has been hot! Kat brushes me at least three times a week and I still leave a trail of hair were ever I go. We have cut down on the agaility course because it is just to hot to run around. Once or twice a week Kat turns on the sprinklers and I get to chase the water. That is so much fun !! and it leaves me feeling so cool and Kat says I even smell better afterwarrds. Humm .. I think I smell okay all the time ! When ever I am not inside the house I am on the side porch under the ceiling fan.

 Kat was so happy with me  when we visited the vet. I was on my perfect behavior and watched her ever move so I knew what to do. I really wish I could have chased that cat  but Kat said it belonged there and I had to leave it be.  The vet was also pleased with me but said I was too fat and that I have to lose some weight.

 I need to get Kat or Bill to notice that my crate is too small. Kat asked the vet about it and she said that as long as I can turn around in it then it is  okay. Yeah right - now would she like to sleep curled up in a ball all the time. I like to sleep with my legs streched out . I have decided to go on a sit down strike whenever they say the word BED.

 IT Worked!! Last Tuesday ( 7-26-11) Kat looked up dog crates on her magic box which she calls a laptop and that evening when she took me to the crate - it was gone! Across the room was the biggest crate I have seen - she said that was the size I was suppose to have. It is huge compared to what I was in (36 x 24 x 27) and this one is (48 x30 x33). No more sit down strikes and no more whimming when she leaves for the night.

 I am feeling much better since I lost some weight. I am not having to do the heavy breathing thing anymore and I can run faster and jump higher now.

 Kat and Bill were gone for a whole week and Chris and Shawn took care of me. I love them  but they don't let me have any fun or give me as many treats. They leave me out in the yard all day until evening then they give me my food and put me in the crate. :-(  Kat always lets me watch TV with her in the morning then she lets me outside while she runs on the treadmill.Sometimes when she runs outside I get to go with her. In the afternoon we either play outside or if the weather doesn't allow that we go inside and watch TV or I watch her work at the desk. She moved my old small crate into the living room so I curl up inside there when she gets busy. I go outside when she gets ready to cook dinner and come back inside when they are finished eating. I get my food next - how come her food looks and smells better then mine?  I have tried to fine left overs on the floor but all I ever find is smells - once Shawn sneaked a piece of chicken to me. It was so good but Kat took him that he was being mean for giving me food while he was at the counter. I tried putting my paws up on the counter to see if there was more up there and she told me to get off. After I finish eating  it's play time! Kat calls it training  but it's play time for me. I get lots of treats for doing what she ask and she usually ends up laughing. That always makes me happy - because I have her well trained to give me a treat whenever she laughs.

Not much has happened this month. It has been so hot that we have not been doing much outside  physical activity - when we do it is usually in the late evening. Kat sprayed for mosquitoes but they are still a big problem whenever we go out. I like to spend time on the side porch under the fan when ever I am outside. Kat has been busy cleaning house _ I don't understand why I can't chase the broom. I'll be glad when she is off this cleaning kick! I walked into the living room and she had moved all the furniture. She even moved my buddy into the corner.  She calls it a bird - but it is not like the birds I know outside.

 Kat brought home a large dog in the back of her truck. It least it looks like a dog but it smells like concrete and it refuses to move. She said it was a statue and that she was going to paint it and place it on Spot's grave. Spot's under the dirt?? No wonder I could not find him..

 I had a big scare last night ( 9/22/11). I was playing on the stairs and when I turned I got my back leg tangled in the least and fell down a flight of steps. My family came running over to help me and Kat ran her hand all over my rump area to check for broken bones.  I never winced or yelped when she was doing that but I did limp around for a few  more minutes. Poor Kat was so worried about me that  she came down in the middle of the night to check on me. She said that she had to look for a short leash for me to wear in the house. Usually I don't have on a leash. Kat puts a leash on me whenever someone pulls into the yard or if I am going to be going out the back door into the unfenced area.

 Kat just got a new book of dog tricks!!  Yes!!  I love learning new things. Whenever her friends come over they ask to see my new and old tricks. They seems to like shame , peek a boo, play dead and waving bye best. kat and I are working on pray,limp and take it this month. Sometimes I can figure out what she wents in one session but not always. Just between you and me - some of the stuff she ask for doesn't make any sense to me.

 Kat has been busy printing things out on the computer and Shawn has been carring a lot of totes into the house. I am not sure what is going on but Kat says that Shawn is getting married. We have been learning new tricks but Kat seems to be thinking of other things. She and Bill went to the USDAA world championships on Sunday the 15th - they brought back a neat toy for me that gives out food when I play with it! Fun Fun.  The next day Doug shows up with a bunch of gifts for everyone  inclluding me!! Kat says he is staying for a week. wow ! It was weird - everyone was gone on Friday night and all day Saturday. (10-21 and 22) I got a little worried and broke through the fence to check to see if they were around back - they finally came home very late.Shawn never did come back home to stay - Kat says he has a new home. The next day Doug also left - i went all through the house huntung for them but I can't find them any where.

 Kat must have a new job she gets in the truck and leaves almost everyday. She says that she is workiing it the apartments. When she is home I get to stay inside until I need to go outside. Kat has made me some new clothes - i have a bright orange safety vest, a raincoat and a hiking vest. She also brought me some other things but she put them up until Christmas ??? What is Christmas??/

Kat sewed all day the other day and then went to the truck with withever she was working on. Then she came and made me put on my seatbelt harness - I hate that thing. She made waterproof covering for the truck seat - she says they are just temopary and that I need to get used to riding in the truck because I have a long trip coming up soon.  Trip?? I don't like the sound of that. Well , the trip turned out to be a trip to Shawn and Desi's house. I was sandwiched between Bill and Kat for over an hour. I held onto Kat most of the way up and finally fell asleep with my head on her shoulder. I enjoyed seeing Shawn but when I was ready to go home Kat wasn't there. She said bye earlier but I through it was a cue for one of my tricks and so I waved back at her. She said she would be back on Saturday to get me and that I should behave and mind Shawn and Desi.  OMG  when is Saturday. Day one and Shawn said that Kat had called to check on me ---good she still cares. Why and were is she?

 

 Kat has been busy at the apartment alot and when she is home she is busy up in Shawn's old room. I dont know what she is doing up there because I am not allowed to go upstairs often. She says she is getting ready for Christmas. I throught that was why she has a tree inside. 

 Oh I see what she has been doing. She changed the room completely! She says that I need to be on my good behavior because Doug is coming home to visit. YES!! I like it when he comes - he always brings me gifts. I mean the good stuff - treats and toys. 

 Doug;s home!! Kat says he is staying for awhile. I like playing with him especially when he is asleep. I sneak up on him and then I lick him in the face. He jumps up and acts mad - he is so funny! Kat trys to stop me but she isn't fast enougn for this game.

 Wow! Doggy delight - everyone is here and it looks like they are staying overnight; however Desi, Chris and Kat don't look so good tonight.

 Doug took care of me for the next two days. He said that Kat was sick but she would be better soon. She was but then Doug said he was heading back to Tennessee.
