One thing to always remember  treat All guns as if they are loaded.

Target Shooting
This is my newest advanture. I have my lifetime carry permit.. I haven't fired a gun for a long time but I use to go out with my dad when I was in school. I do not wish to hunt animals but I do want to polish up my shooting skills. I plan on going to a range at the beginning and then set up a shooting range next  to the archery range. I have talked to a gun expert about this and he said that  I can safety set up the range where I live.

We have always had a pistol in the house but  I  was not comforable pulling back the slide so I decide to reseach and get a gun that I was comforable with. I now have and carry a 38 Rossi. It is a revolver  which means no slide. It can be fired without pulling back a slide  which means faster reaction time to trouble. It is a bit heavier and larger then the pistol but to me the trade off is worth it. It still fits in my jean pocket when needed so that is the important thing. Yes I have a pocket holster ( works well in the purse also) as well as a paddle holster for open carry around the home..

I believe everyone should have training and I trained monthly with a certified trainer for over three years. This is not a cheap activity - there is the price of the guns ( it like chicken math you always want another one), ammo, trainer fees, range fees, equipment ( you always need a new holster).

There is one thing I have decided and that not everyone should have a gun.
Owning firearms is a major decision.
You must know where those guns are every minute of your life.
You must be a good shooter with lots of training. Having a gun and not being able to hit your target is worst then not having a gun.
You must be mental ready to accept any damage you cause with your gun.

   The Gun Safety Rules Are:

  1. All guns are always loaded.
  2. Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing  to destroy.
  3. Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target.
  4. Be sure of your target and what is beyond it.

A gun doesn't do any good if it is left at  home in the safe..so never leave home without it.
